The Cloud Spin is a horizontal way to spin the lightsaber above the head before launching a powerful diagonal cut. The blade shall spin above the head not the hands and hilt. The Padawan should land on a balanced Horse Stance after the diagonal cut. Learn the first steps here.

parries and strikes with Martial arts stances and few spinning
movements with a jumping technique for the finale
The Swoop Spin is a way to dive the lightsaber sideways to block or parry an attack to the body. The purpose of the 3 stances loop is to understand the different positions of the body gravity center of Horse, Bow & Empty stances of Form I.
The Padawan uses the Swoop Spin when withdrawing his body weight
from Bow Stance to Empty Stance.
Form I Lightsaber Combat: Shii Cho part 3 progression. Gain saber flow control as we introduce faster saber spinning parries and counter strikes.
The Downward Spin is back and forth movement, cutting forward with
the saber. With 2 steps the spinning movement prepares for a crouching dragon stance which allows a powerful saber thrust. The Padawan uses the Downward Spin to cut in front of him before the thrust.

The Upward Spin is back and forth movement, cutting backward with
the saber. With 2 steps the spinning movement prepares for a crouching dragon stance which allows a powerful saber strike. The Padawan uses the Upward Spin to cut in front of him before the strike.
Form I Lightsaber Combat: Shii Cho part 5 progression. The progression of footwork and adding a 360 degree cloud spin attack masters your balance inn this form.
The Cloud Spin is a horizontal way to spin the lightsaber above the head before launching a powerful diagonal cut. The Cloud
Spin gives the direction and allows an easy 360° body rotation. The Padawan should be mindful of the steps & land on a balanced Horse Stance after the diagonal cut.
